Builder No. 01
TreyTyn Homes
Matt & Bailee Key · Est. 2019
TreyTyn Homes has been designing and building exceptional custom and spec homes throughout the Grand Valley since 2019. Founded by Grand Junction native Matt Key, the company is rooted in deep community ties and a lifelong passion for construction.
Matt's journey began after high school when he launched his own framing business, building hands-on expertise in structural integrity and craftsmanship. After serving as Superintendent for a respected local builder, he earned his General Contractor's License in 2018 and launched TreyTyn Homes — a name inspired by his two greatest blessings, son Treyson and daughter Tynlee. His wife and high school sweetheart, Bailee, brings the company's designs to life through her eye for interior and exterior style.
Every TreyTyn home is built to EnergyStar® standards, ensuring energy efficiency, long-term savings, and lasting value — treating every home as if it were their own.
Builder No. 02
Alta Home Builders
Carlos & Nicole Ruiz · Est. 2015
Alta Home Builders is a Western Colorado design-build firm dedicated to crafting homes that are well built, thoughtfully designed, and rooted in the communities where families put down roots.
Alta was founded by Carlos and Nicole Ruiz, whose combined experience spans more than two decades in construction, real estate, and community service. Carlos built his expertise running a framing business in the Dallas area before returning to Western Colorado in 2009, where he has since mastered every phase of the homebuilding process. Nicole brings a people-first spirit shaped by over a decade in ministry and nonprofit work — today leading Alta's sales and marketing while also serving clients as an independent broker with Nicole Bernal Ruiz Realty.
Proud Grand Valley residents raising their three boys here, Carlos and Nicole have a personal stake in this place that isn't a talking point — it's the foundation of how Alta builds. The name Alta reflects their core promise: to always build to the highest standard.
